Affinity 94: Hospital Stay

"I'm telling her that a lovingly crafted meal and my family member is on his way."

Text in orange is where phrasing differs contextually from the localised counterpart.

📞 Hospital Stay:

Xia Yizhou:

I saw that you updated your schedule for this week. Why are most of your plans marked in red?

MC:

Isn't there still one in green?

Xia Yizhou:

Yeah, your day off with the note "sleep until 10:00 A.M." Is that the only thing you can do out of the whole list?

MC:

It's the only activity I can do while lying down...

Xia Yizhou:

"Check out the new hot pot place with Xia Yizhou…” Why is that in red?

Xia Yizhou:

Is the difficult part being with me, or eating hot pot?

MC:

Both. Sort of.

Xia Yizhou:

Do you have some other last-minute plans?

MC:

More or less. For example, discussing scary hospital legends with a patient I just met.

Xia Yizhou:

Are you sick? When did that happen? Why didn't you say anything about it?

MC:

I didn’t say anything, but I did put a hospital sticker in the location field of my schedule.

Xia Yizhou:

How noticeable. If you didn’t mention it, I would’ve thought it was just for decoration.

Xia Yizhou:

It wasn't like I was gone for a long time. How'd you end up in the hospital?

MC:

I might have eaten something bad and gotten gastritis.

Xia Yizhou:

... Take your meals according to the recipes I've prepared. I'll personally supervise you.

MC:

Your recipes are a little hard for take-out to replicate, don't you think?

Xia Yizhou:

I'll cook for you.

MC:

Are you going to make my meals in Skyhaven and then deliver them via a fighter jet? It's almost like you're dropping off supplies at a field hospital.

Xia Yizhou:

I thought you got gastritis, not mouthstritis. What are you saying? Of course I'm coming back to Linkon to cook it, before delivering it to the hospital.

MC:

But you just ended your vacation, and now you're taking time off again... That's not good, isn't it?

Xia Yizhou:

Taking a leave of absence for emergencies is normal.

Xia Yizhou:

"Do you want some fresh fruit?"... Are you this chummy with the neighbouring patient already?

MC:

You can hear even that?

Xia Yizhou:

Not everything. But are they asking why your family member is only checking in on you with a phone-call?

Xia Yizhou:

How are you planning to answer that?

MC:

Ahem, of course I'm telling her that a lovingly crafted meal and my family member is on his way.

Xia Yizhou:

Why don't we change your scheduled activities to things that can be completed even when you're lying on a hospital bed?

Xia Yizhou:

Like "finishing all of Xia Yizhou's nutritious meal," or "listening to ten of Xia Yizhou's jokes"...
